X-Box, Mice and Smallville

Yesterday I let John get a new toy... A new video game came out that he's been wanting since he got his X-Box. So pretty much every moment that we're home now he's playing Halo 2. It's not bothering me, though. Just kind of funny that he loves his video games that much. We have a good enough relationship, though that I can tell him to turn it off if I need/want to.

You want to hear a good story? I hate mice. Well, actually, I'm TERRIFIED of them. You probably know this, though. WELL - the other day John and I were in the kitchen just going about our own business and a mouse scampered across the stove, onto the counter and behind the stove!!! I literally hyperventilated. Seriously. I started screaming, crying and actually made my stomach upset because I got so freaked out. It was quite the moment. John got mad at me - he didn't understand how traumatic it is for me to see these things. I think that he understands a little better now, but he is still thinking that I'm a little whacko for being so scared of the "little furry things." I say they're gross and disease infested; he says they're harmless. Yeah, tell that to the bag of microwave popcorn that the last mouse ate ALL THE WAY through.

So... I'm waiting here for John to get off work - we've been sharing a car lately because my car is broken. It needs some motor work done. Not too happy about the whole thing, but it's a few extra minutes that we get to spend together each day. I'm not in a real hurry to get my car fixed... I like being driven around. =)

And on that note... I'm going to check my email one last time and then head home!! We're watching Smallville tonight - it's "our" show. It's a show about a young Clark Kent (aka Superman) growing up in Smallville, Kansas. We've been watching it together for almost two years now. How crazy is that? We usually have macaroni and cheese and either fish sticks and tater tots or b-b-q little smokies to eat while we're watching. Don't know what we'll do tonight though.
